Promote being an Artist

Promote being an Artist

My main Goal for 2010 is to learn how to promote myself as an artist. ( bellydance art & goddess art) I want to change my habit of procrastinating and take action and propel myself forward and out into the public eye with my art! I would Love for my art to decorate the walls of bellydance/yoga studios everywhere helping to create beauty & a sacred space to dance in I am already doing things to advertise myself, but am always open to "thinking outside of the box" so to speak. So any ideas, advice, etc. are welcome!

Thanks Rebecca for your comment. My muses for my art have long been mystical or ethereal goddess type women and then when I got into bellydance, it became my focus for my art. I've found the movements and colors and costumes of bellydance are SO incredibly inspiring to capture on canvas that I am now overflowing with images & ideas. I recently launched a website and my art was actually featured in a bellydance magazine. So slowly but surely I am making progress! And if I dream BIG,like Dolphina always suggests, then I dream and hope that my art will be THE ART that bellydancers/studio owners talk about and MUST own a piece of my work! The act of creating it gives me so much pleasure. And if it inspires someone or makes them feel an inner joy when viewing it, then that really makes my heart soar, to think I can help another feel better. E-mail me anytime, all thoughts are welcome!Sanndi

How is your crocheted business doing? your crocheted hip scarf is so cute! What a great idea. I admire those that can crochet, I never had the "gift" for it! I wish you much prosperity with it!
