The GoddessLife way to Cleanse

The GoddessLife way to Cleanse

Oh January, here you are on my doorstep again. Every year you barge into my house like some prissy, judgmental loan shark to claim all the guarantees I made to you in December. Ok – so, I made them to you in November, too. Yes, I am aware that I ate an entire cheese and cracker plate all by myself at a holiday party. Honestly, is it a big deal? And I have not forgotten all of my ridiculous promises I made to you that included going on a major cleanse as soon as you arrived. But January, I am going to make you an offer you can’t refuse.

I’m a Goddess and we are notoriously terrible at cleanses. The last time I drank water with lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup; I had a ghastly headache, felt totally deprived and ended up going on the cupcake cleanse. Cleanses are typically aggressive, severe and strict. These are masculine traits. If I am going to do a cleanse, the process needs to be feminine. In other words, it will require nurturing, pampering and gentleness. These are all aspects of femininity. Fortunately, I have the perfect solution!

I have made a divine discovery: soaking in the warmth of a hot bath can be more than just a decadently delicious experience. Hot mineral baths are a form of therapy used to improve health, treat diseases and…cleanse toxins (in addition to your cleansing your body)!

A hot mineral bath = A Cleanse

Hot mineral baths are serious science and I recently learned that you could actually receive a doctorate in bathing! When I realized I could be a “Bath Doctor”, I decided to return to school. (Read my blog) It is called hydrothermal therapy and the field of study is called Balnology.

J’adore baths! How freakin fabulous that they have the all benefits of cleanses, as well as, luxurious pampering!

I will share with you more about The GoddessLife way of cleansing in future blogs, including: recipes for making your own mineral bath salts, my favorite mineral bath products and all the benefits of mineral baths. Because every Goddess should have a PhD in pampering!

Wonderful, I myself have been studying and practicing this method for years. I also used to buy a Italian mineral bath and mud products . Hard to find them now. I do soak in therapeutic baths with salts and minerals. You are very right about this.
Cleansing's are harsh and aggressive on the body I just went through this very ordeal the past week. I had severe headaches and got binging craves. You are my new teacher and mentor so anything more you offer as knowledge on this subject I am open to. Thank you so much. I think it is great you are pursuing the certification in it.
