The Power of GoddessLife: I got by with a little help my friends

It is with a humble heart that I write to you all today, in gratitude for all you have done for our community, and specifically for me, over the past few months.
As most of you know, I created GoddessLife to support and empower women, but recent events in my life rendered me incapable of fulfilling my mission statement. I felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland, wandering alone in a strange and scary place. I even stopped dancing for the first time in my life!

Then something truly remarkable happened.

The GoddessLife community began writing me letters. Healing letters, encouraging letters, letters telling me to take time to nourish myself and to heal my inner Goddess. I resisted, because for me, it is easier to nurture others than to nurture myself. But the letters kept coming, and soon I was no longer Alice, but Harry Potter with letters from Hogwartz raining down on my head, begging me to open my eyes to my own magic. Many of these letters shared beautiful stories of women overcoming with their own obstacles.TheseGoddesses reached out to me in my time of need and inspired me with a tiny glimmer of hope that the sun would shine again.

Then, I received this comforting and uplifting email:
I will be here for you when you don’t feel like a Goddess. Let me be your mirror. I am here to lend a hand so you remember that you are. Even the most confident woman has days when she doesn’t believe she is a Goddess. Every now and then these thoughts creep up after a painful break up or when you’re overworked, ill or financially strapped. Other times it’s unclear the precise reason. You can’t seem to help but feel antisocial, invisible, insecure, over-the-hill, out-of-shape, unattractive, powerless, lost or insignificant. When you are being hard on yourself and thinking unkind thoughts, I am here to help you see how exquisite you truly are. During these times, let me reiterate that you are a Goddess. Allow me to be your eyes when you can’t see that you are powerful. I will reflect back to you the amazing gifts you have to give the world. You have an essence that is exclusive to you. It is pure and perfect right now and forever. In case you have forgotten, you are sensual and feminine. I know you are capable of anything you put your mind to. I believe in you completely. When you don’t feel like a Goddess, I am here to remind you that you are.

To my utter surprise, the above email was actually a blog that I wrote and someone sent it to me! The Goddesslife Community united and taught me how to re-claim my own inner Goddess! They helped heal my wounds and before long, they "turned my wailing into dancing...and clothed me with joy." I returned to GoddessLife Headquarters with renewed strength.

I feel so blessed to be a part of your lives and so grateful you are in mine!
I want you to know that should you ever not feel like a Goddess, you belong to a fierce community that will lift you up until you are able to shimmy proudly on your own. This entire experience deepened my belief in the power of GoddessLife. Together we can do anything!

Welcome back! Those are the same gifts that you've given to so many other women over the years, and that same strength.
